In one week over 10,000 people will die of cancer in the US. How long will it take to find 10,000 people that care?
Donate $5 and help us honor 10K people Make a $5 donation (or more) in honor, in memory or support of someone battling cancer and we will add their name to the LiveStrong sign in Paris at the Tour de France! Please follow this link now to add your honoree!
All donor names will be entered in a drawing for this 16 X 20 canvas print signed by Lance. This Limited Edition canvas print will be shipped to the winning name unframed.
You Sign UP and we'll put UP the Sign! For Lance's 6th and 7th Tour victories, the Champs Elysees was heavily decorated in yellow at the 'LiveStrong Village' in Paris. We set up an area full of cancer survivors, LiveStrong supporters, Lance fans and anyone else that wanted to support the cause of battling cancer. Now you can honor a survivor or the memory of a loved one at the Tour de France. Lance will be back at the Tour, riding down the Champs Elysees for a much bigger reason this year. Regardless of how the race unfolds, it's about cancer. It's about the need for a unified global fight. It's the LiveStrong Global Cancer Initiative and here's how you can participate and honor someone fighting this disease now or honor the memory of someone you lost. We will resurrect the LiveStrong Village in 2009. The LiveStrong Sign/banner in front, will contain the names you submit for Lance and everyone else to see. Follow this link to make whatever donation you can to support the LiveStrong Global Cancer Initiative. After completing your donation, another page will appear where you will enter the name in memory of, in honor of or in support of. Your honoree's name will then be added to the LiveStrong sign/banner on the Champs Elysees in Paris on the last day on the Tour de France this year. The sign will be brought back and presented to the LAF in Austin. How many names we get depends on you. How big the banner is depends on you. The banner will be three feet tall and as long as we need to make it :-) We currently have the deadline set at July 13, but it would help to submit your honorees as soon as possible. The Tour is just weeks away. Pictures will be posted on this site, facebook, twitter and any place else we can pay tribute to your honorees. It's just like the war on cancer, success is up to you.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could get as many names as Lance has followers on Twitter?? ...........and remember, All donor names will be entered in a drawing for the canvas print signed by Lance.
